American Baptist Ministries (CBM) or even Ministères Baptistes Canadienne - an association of quaternion regional Baptist conventions within Canada - a Baptist Convention of Ontario and Quebec, the Baptist Union of Western Canada, the Convention of Atlantic Baptist Churches and l'Union d'Églises Baptistes Françaises au Canada. It was formed around 1995 per merger of American Baptist International Ministries (CBIM) & a American Baptist Federation (CBF).
Inside 1900, delegates from through Canada met in Winnipeg and formed the National Baptist Convention of Canada. Unexplicably, it never met over again.
A American Baptist Foreign Mission Board was organized within 1912. It was renamed American Baptist Overseas Missions Board (CBOMB). It was renamed once again to American Baptist International Ministries (CBIM) prior to merging by owning a CBF inside 1995 to form a todays CBM.
There is no national coordinative body of Baptists existed in Canada until a CBM was organized at Saint John, New Brunswick in 1944 as the Baptist Federation of Canada (BFC). A Baptist Convention of Ontario & Quebec, a Baptist Union of American Canada, & a United Baptist Convention of a Maritimes (okay, Convention of the Atlantic Baptist Churches) initiated the Federation & were joined by 50'Union d'Églises Baptistes Françaises au Canada inside 1970. It was renamed Candian Baptist Federation (CBF) prior to merging by having CBIM within 1995 to form a todays CBM.
